Thanksgiving Food Needs
Items Currently Needed
As you may imagine, we need turkeys!
Hams and turkeys will be accepted beginning
October 29.
Q: When do you
need food for Thanksgiving?
A:
Distribution of Thanksgiving Baskets begins
November 1. Packing is already underway, so we
need the food as soon as possible!
Q: When can food
donations be dropped off?
A: During
October and November, food can be
delivered to the warehouse as follows:
·
Monday - Friday 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
·
Wednesday (November 7 and 14 only) until 7:45
pm.
If at all possible, please call our office

Directions or use Google Maps.
Q: Should food
be dropped off at the Pantry, or can it be
picked up?
A:
Particularly at this time of year, our
volunteers are very busy, so if at all possible,
please bring the food to the Pantry’s
warehouse location. If necessary, we can
arrange a pick-up. To do so, call 973-538-8049.
Q: What can I do
to help on Thanksgiving Day?
A: To allow our
staff and volunteers to spend holiday with their
families, the Interfaith Food Pantry is closed
from noon on Wednesday, November 21 (the day
before Thanksgiving) through Sunday, November
25, reopening November 26. All volunteer
opportunities for individuals are fully booked
through November.
If you’d like to take action to help, join us
for our annual Turkey Trot, which takes
place on Thanksgiving morning!

Q. Do you need
volunteers?
A:
Believe it or not we get more requests for help
than we have work slots to fill! But we'd still
love to hear from you. Please fill out a
Volunteer Application
and we will get back to you, but please be
patient since call volume is very high.
