How to Run an Awareness Campaign on Social Media

Now that your fundraising page is live, it’s time to spread the word! Start by making a list of people who might be interested in supporting you and learning more about the SNAP Challenge.

The SNAP Challenge is more than a fundraising event—it’s a hunger awareness campaign. Ask yourself:
Who do I want to educate about food insecurity? Who might be inspired by my commitment to serving the community and supporting IFPN?

🌍 Anyone, anywhere can donate to your page—so think broadly:

  • Friends and family

  • Coworkers and professional contacts

  • Alumni groups, sports teams, and religious communities

  • Your followers on social media

💡 Tip: Use facts and figures from our SNAP Challenge materials to share the reality of hunger and the vital work IFPN is doing. Sharing real impact helps donors understand the importance of your cause.

🙌 And don’t forget to thank your supporters! A quick message of gratitude goes a long way in showing appreciation and encouraging continued engagement.

Hi [Name],

I hope you’re doing well! This summer, I’m participating in the SNAP Challenge to raise awareness and funds for the Interfaith Food Pantry Network (IFPN), which provides nutritious food to our neighbors in Morris County.

For the challenge, I’ll be spending just $19.16 on food for 3 consecutive days—the equivalent of what many SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) recipients must manage. It’s not easy, but it’s eye-opening.

I’d love for you to join me anytime this summer and take the challenge yourself. Or, if that’s not for you, consider supporting my efforts by donating to my fundraising page.

Every dollar helps support IFPN’s mission to fight hunger and provide access to healthy food for those in need.

Thanks so much for your support!

Subject: Could You Eat for $19.16?

$19.16. That’s all I get for 3 days of meals in the SNAP Challenge.

That’s less than $7 a day to feed myself—just like many of our neighbors relying on the SNAP program. It’s a small glimpse into the hard choices people face when trying to stay nourished with limited resources. I’m taking this challenge to raise awareness—and funds—for the Interfaith Food Pantry Network, which helps fill the gaps for families in need. Can you join me? Take the challenge—or donate to support my efforts. Either way, you’re making a difference.

Post A – Eye-Opening Comparison 🚗💵 $19.16. That’s not even enough to cover a round trip on NJ Transit—or a few Garden State Parkway tolls. But for many families relying on SNAP benefits, $19.16 is what they have to feed themselves for 3 full days. That’s less than $6.50 per day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I’m participating in the SNAP Challenge to raise awareness about the impossible choices people make when trying to eat on such a tight budget. Thankfully, the Interfaith Food Pantry Network (IFPN) helps bridge the gap by providing fresh, nutritious groceries to families across Morris County. 🍎 Want to help? Post B 🍽️ $19.16 for 3 days. That’s all I get to spend on food—three meals a day—for the entire SNAP Challenge. This is the reality for many of our neighbors relying on SNAP benefits to get by. It’s not just difficult—it’s nearly impossible to eat healthy on that budget. I’m participating in the IFPN SNAP Challenge to raise awareness and support for the Interfaith Food Pantry Network, which helps fill the gap with fresh produce, lean proteins, dairy, and more—giving families access to the balanced nutrition everyone deserves. 💚 Support my challenge or learn more about how IFPN supports our community year-round: [Insert Link]
